Can you believe we've already been in school for over 20 days?! Here's what we've been up to:
- In Math, we finished our graphing unit in which we collected, represented, and analyzed data. Now we are working on place value of 3-digit numbers and understanding the value of a digit.
- In Science, we learned about rocks, soil, and water. We will be going on a field trip October 11-12 to learn more about these natural materials.
- In Reading, we discussed story elements such as characters, setting, problem, and solution. We analyzed character traits and how characters respond to challenges.
- In Writing, we are working on personal narratives. We are adding details to our writing to make it more interesting to the reader.
- In Social Studies, we've been developing our collaboration skills and talking about different points of view.
Some reminders:
- Comprehensive Behavior Handbook contracts are due Friday, September 28! If you haven't turned yours in yet, please send it in as soon as possible. Ask you teacher if you need another.
- Field trip permission slips went home this week. Please send in the signed forms with $10 cash as soon as you can.
